Question Taking Two Dogs to Brazil

I need to take my 2 dogs to Brazil but I don't want to ship them by plane as they will travel in the cargo area. The usual cruiseliners don't allow pets on board. So I am looking for someone who might be travelling to Brazil to take me and my 2 dogs along. If this is a possibility, I would like to know what the fee would be. Thanks in advance.

As an FYI, many airlines are catering more to pet lovers. A number of them now have compressed climate-controlled cargo holds for pets. It may be worth looking into because shipping by plane will be a lot faster (and less expensive) than by ground or sea.

Good luck!

Uhhh...

The hold for pets has always been pressurized and climate controlled. Direct flights are the best to eliminate intermediate spots.

Even at intermediate spots some airlines will exercise the pet - not many.

Our Chow travelled via Chicago and Tokyo to Singapore and survived well.

The season is a big deal to me and I would not send a pet in the heat of summer or dead of winter. In fact many airlines have blackout dates.

If you are bent on travelling to Brazil by boat maybe you can find a cargo ship that takes passengers headed that way.

My sister found one between Sydney and Long Beach.

With all due respect, it's hard enough cruising with pets that belong to the captain of the vessel. Taking along a couple of dogs as cargo is almost a certain recipe for mutiny!!! It might be easier to just get two new dogs in Brazil!! I'm being insensitive now, I know.
