[SOLD] still in the box waterproof Icom Handheld VHF model: IC-M92D Class D DSC with GPS

Our cruising plans changed so we now have a brand new still in the box waterproof Icom Handheld VHF model: IC-M92D Class D DSC with GPS. We paid $277 and we would like close to that price - OBO. If interested please get in touch. Payment could be through Paypal, and we could split the shipping cost - unless you want it shipped overnight!

I called Icom American to find out why these units are no longer available for sale in the USA. I was told by technical support they get several people calling each day with the same question and that they want to buy the units. I was told that due to a recent change in FCC regulations that requires VHFs with DSC to have full time DSC monitoring, that Icom cannot sell these in the USA anymore. The technical support person told me they can certainly be used legally. It is my understanding that fitting a handheld in this way is prohibitive since it would make the unit too large, therefore Icom is unlikely to come out with an FCC compliant DSC handheld.
