Does this come with any charts? Is it still available?

Yes it has embedded charts I never used them I doubt they have the detail that's on the C-Map charts. I used the C-Map Max in my other display a standard horizon cp300i, the Si-Tex uses the same charts but I never wired in the GPS antenna to use it as a plotter or used the sonar box and transducer. I've found it to be pretty intuitive to use and Si-Tex builds high quality electronics and IMHO they support older units way better than some of the more popular brands especially Garmin in my experience.
