SailOMat 601 Windvane with remote course control - $1200

Sailomat 601 with RCC (Remote course control) option so course can be adjusted from anywhere in the cockpit. this vane gear is amazing and has not let me down in the last year and 2000 miles that it has been on the boat

I am only selling this because I have built my own trim tab self steering gear. everything is there ready to install on your boat, owners manual and an extra airvane included.

$1200

Prefer local pickup in west palm beach, fl. or I can meet you within 75 miles of there...

I built a similar vane. Good and sturdy. I found that the performance was much enhanced by making the wooden part much more delicate and lightweight. I bears almost no load.

Re: SailOMat 601 Windvane with remote course control - $1200

it is the gray drum around the airvane shaft seen in the first picture, can be seen in other pics, line around the drum runs to the cockpit to adjust course as drum rotate the air vane. it is an option sailomat offers but I built my own as I could not wait the 2 weeks for theirs... I have the spring loaded plunger which I used if the RCC drum is taken off but then you need to put your hand on the airvane mech and rotate the vane by hand, with rcc you can make minute adjustments by pulling the line...

Re: SailOMat 601 Windvane with remote course control - $1200

Where did you get the plans/info for building your own, or did you just create it based off of other designs? My buddy has a nor'sea 27 and we're trying to figure out something that works.

Thanks!

Re: SailOMat 601 Windvane with remote course control - $1000

this thing works!, cheaper and easier than building your own...
I copied the free hand system but that only works with a boomkin mounted back stay...

$1000 cant go any lower

Re: SailOMat 601 Windvane with remote course control - $1200

It seems a fair price. I was looking for a friend's boat - he has a Nor'Sea 27, but I am not sure that it would fit the boat with the canoe stern. Good luck with the sale!

I can't believe it hasn't sold. Shame it's in the US and not Tassie! Those units look very very good.
