Re: Ronstan RF6710 Snatch Blocks (pair)

Mac:

I just pulled this info off of the internet, the max line size is 7/16" and the max safe working load is 500 kg / 1100 lb. With that said, as per the attached picture in my post, the card on the back of the snatch block states the product deforms @ 900 kg / 2000lbs.

So proportionately I would say the max safe working load would be in the neighbor hood of 450 kg / 1000 lbs. I don't know if the newer block has been reconfigured or resized, they were purchased a couple of years ago.

Part #RF6710 from Ronstan
  • Sheave Diameter: 51 mm / 2 in
  • Max Rope Size: 11 mm / 7/16 in
  • Max Working Load: 500 kg / 1100 lb
  • Break Strength: 1000 kg / 2200 lb
  • Weight: 250 g / 8.8 oz

Northstar,

Thx for the info but unfortunately the blocks won't handle my load or line size.
