Roller boom

I need a roller boom 18' -20' long.I would prefer more modern solution like a stoboom ,etc but I would also consider the older external types, even wooden one.

Re: Roller boom

An 18-20' wooden boom would be pretty heavy unless it were made as a hollow box/hex and turned round.

Even some of the modern aluminum ones are pretty heavy once they get that big. But that's due to all the gadgets that go along with.

Re: Roller boom

I know where there is a Forespar Leisure Boom ( it think that is the name). At any rate it cam from a Hunter Legend 42' center cockpit boat.

All reports are that it is in pretty good shape, I am thinking you might be able to buy it cheap, let me know if you think it might fit, what kind of money you might spend and I will see what I can do.

I can get pictures and report on the condition, I have not seen it as of yet.

It is most definitely for sale

Hi Fletch
Thank You for the message . I checked this side Rig Dimensions for Sailboats Starting with H: Mauri Pro Sailing
It looks like the boom is only 15.5'. If you can get any more information it would be great.

I'll call them Monday. The only problem is I'm on the East Coast and this by itself will add big chunk of money to the price.
Thanks
