Re: Reliant 49 Ketch 49K OBO

I start a new job in Yellowstone National Park in January. I have a cash offer of $25k for the boat as is. I am willing to sell the boat for $29k cash with a quick closing. If you are interested, come check it out soon. I will not be here much longer and the boat will be sold...

Icedog, I am sure you will find a buyer, she is an awesome large cruising sailboat that just needs a few small tweeks to get her right!

Re: Reliant 49 Ketch 49K OBO

Man! What a nice boat for $29K!

Looks very good and comfy for cruising or live aboard.

COLD moulded is COOL!

Simple Suggestion: Is there anyway you can edit the forum thread topic (title) to show the new lower price of $29K? Perhaps the mods could do it if requested??

Because the difference between $49K and $29K may make the difference for forum visitors. Your topmost post also shows $49K and some visitors may not make it past that.

Good luck on the sale. I think the new owner will be getting a lot of boat for that price.

Re: Reliant 49 Ketch 49K OBO

Thanks Garth. Steady hand, Garden of Edien is a great boat for that money. I looked but could not see a way to edit the thread title. The 6.5 foot draft is a deterrent for some people here and many people will buy only production boats or only fiberglass boats. I have been very comfortable on my boat. I can go for months without docking for water for instance, and my solar/lithium battery bank setup allows me to live without burning diesel to create electricity. This is better for the engine too since I don't need to idle it for long periods of time just to charge the batteries.

Re: Reliant 49 Ketch 49K OBO

I may be interested in her. 1. Trying to determine exact berth configuration. You had indicated "Instead of three full double berths and two outboard pilot berths, there are two sleeping berths -- the forward V-berth cabin, and a pullman-style portside cabin." Is the pullman berth a double berth and is it permanent or fold down berth ? A pic would be nice if available. 2. What is the main mast height above water ? 3. You had mentioned a line drawing of her. Do you have a copy or can you provide a link to it. Thank You, Jackson

Re: Reliant 49 Ketch 49K OBO

The pullman is a double with lots of storage underneath...it is permanent. I estimate the air draft as between 55 to 60 feet. I don't have an exact height. I'm not sure if the new Pullman photo posted. The internet is slow here today but there is a photo of thecPullmam with the mattress removed earlier in the thread I believe...

Nice looking boat and well equipped. No surprise she sold quickly. That's how you sell a boat quickly.

Re: Reliant 49 Ketch 49K OBO

Icedog, I am thrilled that you have her sold!! I kept coming back here because I kept dreaming of a boat that large even though I knew I really couldn't afford the long term maintenance and slip fees!!!

Congrats!!! A lot of people say its the "best two days of a mans life", I only enjoy the buying part and always HATE the selling part!!
