Want To Buy: Rebuilt/Used Watermaker 12 V - Desalinator Wanted, Ideally Katadyn 40E or 80

I am looking for a rebuilt or used Watermaker, ideally one that can be hand pumped in emergency but typically runs on power. the Katadyne 40E allows this. I would consider and 80 as well. I am looking for something that produces ideally 1.5 Gal per hour minimum if possible. I am open to differnt types of water makers. Does not need to be ship board, but military issue could also work. Looking for a reasonable price if I can. Willing to replace the filters, but need to find one that is reliable. I live in San Diego - and wld prefer to come pick it up than send money and have it shipped to me, as i had a bad experience once with someone who was supposed to mail me something and did not.

I am in Oceanside and am selling my boat. I installed a Katadyn 40e when I went to Mexico in 2010/11.

I biocide the membrane every six months. You could test it to be sure. I see the used ones going for around $2,000. Maybe we can make a deal?
