I am a professional woodworker and avid sailor and I built this PT11 last summer (completed summer 2015). Boat is built with West System epoxy and additives, and painted with Interlux Perfection paint. I have sailed the boat a few times on the Chesapeake Bay and there are some scratches in the hull paint, but nothing that is a structural concern. A light sanding and another coat of paint on the hull is all she needs--or just use her as is. I built this boat with most of the options available from PT Watercraft, including the complete sailing rig, the foils, the watertight hatch kit, oarlocks, rub-rail (not yet installed--see pictures), etc. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding my building process and materials. I am selling her for the cost of the kit plus epoxy, paint, disposables, etc that I have in her. This is a much loved yacht tender/nesting dinghy which has received great reviews in the usual sailing magazines. She sails and rows beautifully and is exceptionally well engineered to be lightweight and yet sturdy. Custom made carbon fiber hardware makes her light and strong. The mast is all carbon fiber and the sail is specifically designed for this boat. An excellent nester. Price is $6500.
