Pearson 30 loaded/diesel/dinghy Kingston (Lake) Ontario Canada

My 1974 Pearson 30 is for sale. 18hp Volvo Penta 2002 diesel in very good condition.
The boat is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Its in the water and ready to sail.

I was asking $15,000 cdn, but have been slowly reducing the price...currently asking $11,500 cdn. Thats less than $9,000 US. I will continue to drop the price until the boat is sold.

Commercial link deleted

Here is a link to about 90 pictures:

May I ask what is the air draft of your Pearson? I have a1965 Alberg 35 in Florida. My mast is 3'to o tall to get under a causeway and into Patrick Airforce Base marina, where I want to live. There is an Alberg 30 in the marina. If you'd like a boat in Florida, maybe we could swap.

Can't believe it hasn't sold. All the good deals go on after I already bought something!

Re: Pearson 30 loaded/diesel/dinghy Kingston (Lake) Ontario Canada

I have dropped the price to $9,900 cdn, not including dinghy+outboard which are available for an additional $1000.

$9,900 cdn is roughly $7,500 USD

New video under sail yesterday:
https://youtu.be/MSfQjtI9MTY

The attached pictures were also taken yesterday.

I spent a few nights in the islands here. The weather was beautiful, and the winds moderate. The engine is running very well, no issues.

She looks beautiful . . . .

Hard to believe you are letting her go for such a low price . . .

You're practically giving her away . . .

Hope you get a fair price . . .

Might talk to you about the boat - trying to get an idea of layout and how it would work for my interests - but wanted to let you know right away that the link above sent my virus scanner into high alert. Not sure how you're sharing these photos, but there might be a problem ...

The link is to OneDrive, a microsoft site for file sharing. I've shared pictures this way for sometime. I'm going to guess you have an apple computer, and they don't like microsoft :-)

Back to the boat... simple layout which you can see in the pictures. Vee berth forward, head to port, sink to starboard. Large hanging locker behind the head. Main cabin with opposing settees and a drop down table to port. Quarter berth to port and galley to starboard. Classic, simple layout. Lockers everywhere.

The boat is old, but very well kept. Sure, there are spider cracks and scuff marks and 1970's plastic wood. But it has an excellent (updated) diesel engine, and it sails great. I often sail alone with no difficulty. You can imagine how much the new standing rigging, new main, chart plotter, autohelm, etc all cost. And its all installed and ready to sail.

I would not hesitate to head south on it this fall. Actually considered that for a while, rather than sell.

I've sailed it in every kind of weather and sea condition here on Lake Ontario...and yes, LO gets very rough sometimes.

I hope you can view the images...sorry to suggest that the problem is at your end.

Nope - tried again on a Windows machine with the same antivirus and got the same result.

But, whatever. I'll PM you (if I can figure out how) with a little more detail and we can see if it's worth further discussion. I'm retired and don't mind an excuse to drive to Kingston and talk sailing, but don't want to waste your time if it's not a potential match.
