For Sale: One of the Best & last FP Athens 38 built for Sale

I’ve decided to sell the Cat, this is one of the last FP Athens 38 to leave the Fountaine-Pajot Factory- she was splashed in April 2006 at La Rochelle-France- The yacht is in very good condition ,I had the 3YM30 Yanmar engines put in as an option and they have around 1300 hours each- I have maintained this yacht perfectly , doing any and all work myself-1 engine has a Balmar high output 125 amp alternator-KISS wind Gen , Raymarine e-120 whole system, Icon SSB new-lots of extras , - NEW Custom SS triple helm chair, new Custom SS Biminis, New Custom SS Davit/solar panel arch – New bottom paint June of 2011- this yacht is hard to beat for the money- Main sail is like new- jib is in good shape- nice custom SS over sized cleats- Drogues, parachute- back up Fruno GPS, 2 year old dink/with motor, 4 anchors 60lb Mason Supreme, Spade A140, Fisherman’s 50lb anchor and XYZ- 300 ft of ¾ nylon rood attached to 70 meters of 5/16 HT chain as a primary- Honda 2001 generator and much more- $195k USD by owner-I will deliver world wide at no charge

Looks like a great boat and I've always loved the Athenas. I wanted to see if you might be interested in a trade for charter time. I own a fantastic summer camp for kids in Maine (CampWaziyatah | summer camps in maine | coed overnight summer camps | maine camps). If you have camp aged kids in the family, have a look and let me know if you would consider a barter. We're looking for charters from 2 weeks to 4 months from September through the end of December.

Hi, I am interested in more info. Where is she laying, number of cabins/heads? Owner or charter version?

Charter Version + 1 crew cabin-2 heads-- At the moment shes in Cypress- I have not offered her for sale anywhere but here- so not in in hurry to sell her-unless I get very close to asking price- I will sail her to America at the end of the year

Glad I have joined this site. Am looking for a cat like this. Med is fine as I work FIFO in West Africa. Can you provide further photos, further details - has it got a recent survey etc. Has it been private or have you been chartering it? Would appreciate full details.

Welcome to CF!! At the moment shes in Cypress , no survey and I have chartered it , but only when I was onboard as captain , so shes in good shape- Ive babyed it and never sailed her hard-
Not much more I can give you on details other than whats listed- Im planning on going over soon and sailing her slowly back to USA -starting in June

That's a really fair price since you have at least $50k in upgrades and equipment that you can see from the photo's alone. Arch's and bimini's are very expensive to install. The gangway looks very nice. Good luck with the sail and the sale.

yes I think so David- I will be happy if it sells or it does not sell- so that puts me in a great position-
