Northern Lights Generator

I am looking for agood Northern lights 5/6 generator to buy.
Any ideas ?
I have checked out a lot of used genset dealers..they all have amazingly low hrs..but have had to been rebuild in some way or another.
Therefore i would like to buy one directly from a privious owner. Must be immaculate with low hrs
A tall order i know !

Re: NORTHERN LIGHTS GENERATOR

Don, why are you wondering about the free part? Do you have one and are giving it away?

Chris, where are you located? I have a 12kw and 8kw. I would consider selling the 8kw. It is in perfect condition and has something like 1600 hours on it. But I'd rather sell the 12. The boat is in St. Martin.

Firstly Don , everybody likes a piece of ass but no one likes a smart ass .
Palarran , thanks. The 12 is too big for the space i have, but the 8 might work.
I am in Beaufort NC

Aren't the northern lights something you see in the sky over Alaska? Take an awfully big generator to run them! I know. Smartass.

Re: Northern Lights Generator

The shipping costs would be prohibitive. The new 5kw has to be the nicest gen set I've seen. What I'd really like is to sell my 12, keep the 8, and add the new 5. My boat is set up with two buss's so I can run two gen sets if the load demanded it.

Good luck in the hunt. A NL in good condition isn't going to be easy to find or cheap.
