New Mantus 45 lbs anchor at a great price

I have a brand New Mantus 45 lbs galvanized (Hot Dipped) anchor for sale at a great price.

The New Mantus 45lbs has more surface area and a sharper tip than my current Rocna 45.

I was so excited to try the Mantus 45lbs out this season, but it turns out that the wider eye on the shank end hits the fiberglass on my rectangular anchor slot. I tried a couple of adjustments and it was still a no go.

If someone is looking for a great deal.

Galvanized Steel Anchors -

On the Mantus site its listed for $397 + $54 shipping = $451

I am selling mine for $250 as I purchased it on special, but must pick it up in Mystic Connecticut.

Just PM (private message) if interested.

Mark, could you explain that more? By wider, do you mean the shank is thicker, or the height of the end of the shank is higher? Or the shank is too long? Either way, they look very close in the pictures. I can't visualize an anchoring system that threads a needle that fine. You wouldn't be able to use many anchors.

Good deal for someone, anyhow.

Is all that greyish stuff on the ground snow?

Mark

These pictures should show the issue with my anchor roller slot clearly with the red arrows.
The rectangular anchor slot is not tall enough for the lead into the locker.

Hi mark,

You have been in the sun far too long if you think that grey stuff is snow:-)

Re: New Mantus 45 lbs anchor at a great price

I see now. The shape and length of the shaft is not allowing the anchor to pivot soon enough to clear the slot - that little bend in the Rocna shank seems to make the difference. Mostly, I think that is a FP design problem, but you can't change that.

Well, it was ALMOST a joke. Yes, I haven't seen temps below 80F for 4-5 years now and I had just glance at the Groton, CT weather and saw that winter is having a difficult time letting go up there.

Hi Mark,

Ya rub it in. On our side of the pond winter will not let go. Hope to head her south myself soon.
