I certainly considered that. But after sewing on the bolt rope and the UV
fabric on the edge, and cutting the length to accommodate the furler drum height, I decided just to buy a new
genoa. I have never owned a mylar sail and wasn't sure how it would react to being rolled up, given how stiff it is compared to dacron.
My last resort will be to take it to Minney's, the local
boat used part reseller, and see what they will give me, but I figured I would try and sell it on my own.
