Want To Buy: Maxwell 500 Windlass with Chain Gypsy

Looking for a Maxwell 500 with a chain gypsy to replace my 500 with a rope gypsy. Maxwell no longer makes the conversion kit to add the chain option and I am hoping someone has just this item on hand. The motor can be burned out, gearing trashed and just plain ugly. I can mix and match parts and end up with a usable windlass.

I'm not sure if a Maxwell 800 would be a drop in solution for your replacement but I did remove the 800 and had to upgrade to a stronger version when I put on a 60 lb anchor.

The motor is burned our and the gearbox has problems as well. Everything else is fine.

You will pay shipping and make me an offer. A low ball offer will not offend me in any way.

Nice idea and thanks but Vetus/Maxwell tells me the parts are not interchangeable. Unless something better comes along I will end up buying a Maxwell VW 10 after biting the bullet hard.
