MaxSea Nav Software

The software comes with the required dingle that must be pluged into computer to work. It has world maps and is an easy to use nav software. It also lets user define a weather watch area and down load a grib file as a email. This is a GREAT feature.

when I purchased it was $1000, they have sliced and diced it and now somethime simular cost $500, asking $200.

I have a copy of Max_Sea and I use it because of the weather feature and as a potential back-up to my Navionics/Raymarine main system but it has similar but different inaccuracies.

I am on a mooring ball off Puerto Moralos Mexico.

The Navionics is out by 800 yds and shows me outside the reef when I am 400 yds inside the reef. The Max-Sea shows me to be on landward side of the main square at a bus stop in front of a very pretty church, again the error is close to 800 yds.

The two systems are running off completely different GPS systems which both show the same exact position.

However, due to the use of the reliable Mark #1 eyeball I know exactly where I am!

not sure about windows 7, I don't have a computer with it installed, I ran it on 2000 on my boat computer. someone questioned the dingle, it pluged into the printer port, does your computer have one???? I'll do $150 + shipping, if you can confirm other requirements Don
