Lotus 10.6 in New Zealand

I am always the first to whinge about crappy boats, marketed badly, that are overpriced and badly maintained.

I found a boat that isn't any of that. Unfortunately the layout doesn't work for the admiral.

So, I thought I would share with everyone here. I have no connection to the owner and haven't seen the boat first hand but a mate looked at it for me and told me the website is pretty accurate depiction.

Bill, the owner is a really good bloke, currently based OS, so the builder is showing the boat.

The website is Alan Wright Lotus 10.6 s.v. Shag

Just thought I would share.

We really need the two quarter berths. We have 2 children who in the life of this boat will be teenagers (boy & girl).

They need space unfortunately.

She does look good though doesn't she.

Wow, Jonathon, that looks like a really superior boat. Maybe you should consider selling one child?? (Kidding, ya know).

But really, this is one well built boat, and someone will get a beauty... and the Lotus is a well respected design in Kiwi land.

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks - we didn't consider selling them. But renting them out to a boarding school was tossed around for a while.

Mostly by me

Re: Lotus 10.6 in New Zealand

Why are so many boats built without the 2 quarter berths. Every boat i fall in love with just doesn't work at that one point.

Is there a solution i am missing

Re: Lotus 10.6 in New Zealand

Hi there, new here and looking at a Lotus 10.6 but not Shag. She is outside my budget. I thought she looked stunning, like a lot of things outside my budget...
