Looking to Buy Bluewater Cruiser in South Florida

Apologies Folks-
Yet another inquiry from a potential buyer in search of that dream sailboat. My wife & I will be in south FL next month looking at boats-interested to hear from anyone that might have a lead on something not already posted somewhere in the caverns of the internet. I think we've exhausted that search method and have a full spreadsheet of boats to see, inventory details and condition. Looking for new leads if you got 'em.
30-38ish, med-heavy displacement
prefer cutter rigs
prefer no teak decks

Current ideal boat is something like a PS 37, (though my better half would prefer a Westsail). Challenge we have is no different than most, $$$$$$$
Looking to stay under $100k... and plenty depends on condition/toys etc (all mod cons)
Appreciate any AND all feedback-
Ciao

Island Packet makes a nice cutter. The IP 32 is going to have more living space than many 35-36 footers.

I've always like the Islander Freeport 36. Very nice inside and not a dark cave like many. Bob Perry design with protected rudder etc. Usually come with a Perkins 4-108. Heres one that's loaded FSBO in FL. Most are in the $50k asking range: Islander Freeport 36

Re: Looking to Buy Bluewater Cruiser in South Florida

the real first question should be - what are you going to do with it - a bluewater boat can encompass many things - going to the bahamas or around the world???

just our thoughts

Re: Looking to Buy Bluewater Cruiser in South Florida

Many tears ago I came very close to ordering a Westsail 32 (nickname Wetsnail), similar to the proven Colin Archer Double end design but was put off when I witnessed a poor skipper trying hopelessly to manoeuvre in a fuel dock; engine had no balls. I chatted with him and while there were no qualms about long distance passages, he regretted not buying something a little less plodding in light airs..

I don't have a boat to sell you and I am not a broker.

Try connecting with your surveyor or find one that is busy down here. They know what is out there, what is good.
