There used to be a small marina directly behind a place called the Banana Beach Resort... or something like that. You may want to try them.

Be aware that is not legal to live on board in a canal in Marathon or pretty much any place else in the Keys. It might be OK with the person renting to you but all it takes is for a neighbor to complain and you and the renter have a problem. Chuck

Residential canals by law can not have liveaboard vessels. Do they do it, Probably. Can a neighbor complain and create a problem, absolutely, so the reason for my comment. So anyone should know this before they commit to renting a dock behind someones house. They may choose to do it anyway as long as they know what could happen. Chuck

Thank you for the clarification. It's good to know.
But not the case for us: no live aboard at the dock.

Re: Looking for a dock for rent in or near Marathon Fl
Should you visit Key West your welcome to use my mooring, it's currently vacant.
I am undecided about what to do with it.
It's well built and only 6 months old.
I let someone stay there last week that had steering problems.
