I live five minutes from DCA and 40 minutes from IAD but am willing to drive as far as Baltimore to deliver. Eric

I'll need you to come to IAD since my plane doesn't fly to DCA. Is the raft in good shape and is it in a bag or canister? What year was it manufactured? May be a few weeks or even a month before I can come pick it up would that be ok? Could we do a 50/50 payment till I can get there? I don't leave on my sailing trip till March.

The reason many folks are reluctant to buy a used life raft, is that life rafts have a limited life. Some brands (Zodiac) are/were condemned at 10 years of age, used or not, regardless of condition.

So while you're raft may be certified until 11/11, the question is, how OLD is it?

Take the price of a comparable new raft, subtract 10% for each year of age, and sadly, that's what a used raft is worth--at best.
