For Sale or Trade: Koopmans 36 Aluminum

1978 Koopmans 36, Aluminum, Cutter Rig, 6':2" draft, Westerbeke 30B Three, Sea Frost with Shore Assist, New 2011: Standing Rigging (2/8) Running Rigging (not so new now but good), Shaefer 3100 headsail, Schaefer 1100 Staysail, storm staysail, tides strong track, dripless gland, Batteries (42 D AGM), Charger-never installed, paint (but abused needs touch up scuffs and buff to look pristine, Upholstery 2013, 2015, Treadmaster (sloppy paint spots and epoxy marks but stuck on with G Flex onto abrades Epoxy after acid etch, most of the major systems are new, except electronics which consist of ST 60 Tri (2015), Triducer 2014, ST 60 Wind, ST 60 Speed, ST 60 repeater, Sea SSB-Ham with Amplifier and Tuner, have insulators but not installed. There are still a number of things left to be completed but, the big things are mostly done, including extensive metal work at stem head and stern have welded on oversize cleats, massive stem head fitting, anchor roller, all separately attached. I love this boat, but am not in a position to sail off and probably will not be for some time. Plan to commission a new boat and buy a power boat in interim. Will consider trade of high quality powerboat i.e. Hatteras-Bertrams-ChrisCraft, of similar value. 45K located in Houghton Hancock MI, (Lake Superior) If not familiar with Koopmans do a search not many here in U.S. many in Holland, the boat was built by Kesteloo, yard, while she is not perfect she is a total Bargain at 45.

Looks totally badass. Sorry you can't enjoy her right now. Good luck selling her, and hope you find as good a boat when you're finally ready.
