Try the Delta area near Sacto loads of house boats there. Look up Walnut Grove Marina. I was there a few years ago. Wide range of house boats from palacial to old junkers. As with any boat, its best just to have friends w boats. Especially true if you are on a budget. So start hanging out where the boats are and make friends.

Nah, the shell isn't in the omelet, it's right on the edge of the picture, in front of the plate
thats the plan, the mackrel round here come in swarms during the summer, catch them 5 at a time with a mackrel jig,2 people can fill a 20 kg box in as many minutes!

good sea bass fishing round here on the wrecksl
will get a few lobster pots for crab and lobster as well.

that shell is actually a clipper disposable lighter!

I was in Southampton not too long ago... would have diverted if I knew disposable lighter lol

for the OP: I would definitely go for a houseboat if it's about living there but for a sailboat or cabin cruiser if you want to start moving around a bit

good morning and thank you @belizesailor! i do have a few friends with boats, but only one with a sailboat and she's a good 3 hour drive from me. i responded to a couple ads last night. no response yet. also, remember i'm looking for a getaway, not looking to sail off into the sunset just yet. in fact, i never need to own a sailboat as long as i'm close to the docks where they take off at, right?

It might hurt once in a while. I was having too much fun last eve on here and stretched an unfunny joke too far. My apologies to all offended folks, especially Captain Karen Zeehag. :flow ers:
