Isolating Tranformer/Isolation Transformer 3.6KVA x 2 - Iso Guard

Charles Marine Isolation Transformers x 2 - 3.6KVA - Iso Guard
Up for sale are 2 x isolating transformers. The vessel they were removed from had 36 hours on the clock, so these units are like new. The boat was 110v so everything in the boat was taken out to convert to AUS standards. I've been told you can step them up to 240v, but I have no idea how. These are sitting in my work shop collecting dust. These weigh about 40kg for the 2. I would be able to package them up and send them wherever they need to go at buyers expense. These items are in Fremantle, Australia. I also have a fair bit of 110v switches, inverters, plugs, leads, etc. if anyone is looking for this stuff. Asking price $600.00 USD for the 2

Would you split the units up? If so, any idea shipping to US 34956 zip code? Thank you,

Matt

Re: Isolating Tranformer/Isolation Transformer 3.6KVA x 2 - Iso Guard

Hi Matt,
Would prefer to keep them together and get rid of them both at once. This is why they are so cheap as I'm looking for someone to take them both. It's after the close of business here, so have not been able to get a quote on transport. I would only be guessing and I would rather get an actual price from the freight company. You could probably do that from there as well as most of the international freight companies have links all around the world.
I would think they would package down to 600mm wide, 300mm high by 300mm long and weighs approx. 50kg for the 2.

Hi Matt...depending on shipping costs, I might consider splitting the pair with you. I'm in Sarasota and need just one. These can be had for not much more than $500 new, so doesn't make a lot of sense to spend a lot on shipping used ones. Let me know what you find out.

Chris,

I didn't look into shipping as I didn't need two. I ordered new last night... sorry.

Ok, probably the smartest call for us both.

Re: Isolating Tranformer/Isolation Transformer 3.6KVA x 2 - Iso Guard

OK, have been getting some quotes on shipping to the US. Some prices are crazy expensive, but found some companies that seem to be reasonably priced.
Option one: By air, to your door for one unit - $359.00 USD
Option two: By sea, pick up at port, FL for both units - $298.00 USD
With the shipping you purchase a cubic metre of boat area, so if there was anything else I have that you need, it would cost no more. As for air freight, this could vary when we go in to send the units.
The units are of no great value to me. If they are worth $500 new, I'd be happy with a couple of hundred for each for them. The Victron ones I purchased here in Oz cost $1000AUD, which is why I presumed $300 would of been reasonable. I also have some power sockets US style that I will never use. Can throw them in the box as they will never be used here. Any questions, just let us know.

L&N,
Thanks for the info. I appreciate the spot you're in; your prices seem to be good but the geography makes it prohibitive. I'd be happy to pay a bit more than the $300 for one unit, but don't expect you to give things away.
