I am selling a 750ml bottle of Chandon Commemorative Cuvee (sparkling white wine, essentially champagne) that was bottled to celebrate the America 3 Women's America's Cup team spearheaded by Bill Koch in 1995. Sailing on the "Mighty Mary", they
lost to Dennis Connor in the trials.
Google it for more information.
It would make a thoughtful gift for your favorite woman sailor or first mate, and it would have meaning to someone who appreciates sailing. Given it's limited production, it is truly a rare gift. And it was the only bottle of alcohol allowed by the US
government to display an American flag on the label. I've attached a
photo.
I purchased it at a fund-raiser several years ago because no one else had bid on it and I wanted to help out the organization. I think I paid $100 for it, but I'd entertain a reasonable offer if you can convince me you'd like it as a gift for a special someone (and not to re-sell next year on the 20th anniversary of the team's accomplishments). Send me a private message if you're interested. Bob
