Good morning, is this still in the water? when you say needs TLC, is it ready to sail to the west coast of Florida as it is now before the cold weather hits? thanks Jim 813-956-9820

Absolutely, great boat. Very viable cruising boat for someone at a great price.

Re: Hunter Cherubini Cutter 37' ($14,900)
It is in the water. The boat could go down the intercoastal waterway and around to the west coast of Florida with the normal prep for such a trip. The Garmin GPS chartplotter only has a Chesapeake Bay chip, so may need upgrading, supplementing or replacement before venturing that far. Or else a good set of up to date charts. We have sailed up and down the Chesapeake Bay.

Great boat for that. I used to live in Bradenton. Sailed mine (a 1984, deep draft) all over the FL W coast and to the Keys/Dry Tortugas a number of times. Very good heavy weather boat for those GOM squalls. Well balanced, heaves to well, easy to single hand, staysail is a very useful moderate to heavy weather sail.

Re: Hunter Cherubini Cutter 37' ($14,900)
Hello Friends
Newbie from South Africa.
I often wonder if there are any hidden costs, taxes etc that side to buy
such a boat and go "travel" with it. Taking it out of the USA permanently.

Re: Hunter Cherubini Cutter 37' ($14,900)
Sales tax policies are set by each State. The seller should be able to tell you for his State. That should be the only USA specific cost for the transaction.
Met a South African a few years ago who owned a 37 Cutter and had been across the pond in it a few times.
