If she still looks like the pictures she should sell very quickly.

Re: Horstman Trimaran

She does!
I never thought I'd sell her, but getting 'gut shot' degrades one's health..........

Re: Horstman Trimaran

Sorry to hear about your health problems. Beautiful boat, I'm 10+ yrs out from buying and on the East Coast, but your boat is exactly what I'll be looking for. Shallow draft for the ICW, simple, clean, etc.

Nice pics!

Re: Horstman Trimaran

Thanks, NCGunDude. Hope you can go cruising some day.
Horstmans IMHO are the very best boat to cross oceans or to snuggle up to a nice beach. They're strong and stable. I single handed HI - USA on my 41' and would not have felt as safe on any other boat.

'prof mariner', it's a trip through the Canal!

LOL! Yes, you're right. I could use another adventure. Sadly, my wife would leave me if I went!

Re: Horstman Trimaran

Do you have any drawing of the full interior layout that you could upload?

Is this glass and plywood, or foam sandwich?

What's its draft?

Inquiring minds want to know. . . .

Re: Horstman Trimaran

No interior drawings, as I gutted to upgrade from the original, to lighten it and also make it 'flow better' than what Ed had.
Draft is, as I recall, 40''
This is hull#1 of the 38' TriStars, professionally built of marine ply /glass. (I built the sugar scoop transom for ease of entry from a dive or dinghy so it is now 39').
I completely stripped the deck. WEST epoxy with 8oz glass used to recover. Deck and hull skin are in excellent condition.

Re: Horstman Trimaran

Spent a year in the Sea of Cortez on my 41' TriStar. Loved (mostly) every day of it. These boats are so versatile and easy to single hand.
