What's the wire size for your ABI Highfield lever, Jim?

I understand that the quick release pin is 0.5", but ABI made their Highfield levers, with the same pin size, for different wire sizes. The ABI catalog shows levers for two wire sizes, 1/4" and 9/32", both made with 1/2" pins. See: https://web.archive.org/web/20030205...nghardware.htm

You are sure yours is stainless and not chrome over bronze?

ABI had perfected the design of the Highfield before the company closed shop - very elegant, functional equipment.

Re: Highfield lever

Alan Mighty (and any other interested parties)

Having looked at that catalog picture I find that my lever is NOT in fact an ABI model! My apologies for a misleading advertisement.

I was going on what I was told when I purchased the boat. So, I do not know who produced this device. It is made of heavy (6 mm) stainless plate, the eye-to-eye length extended is 360 mm, closed 280 mm. The hook will accept up to 16 mm (5/8") pins and the other end has 13 mm (1/2") diameter pin size. I was using it to tension my inner forestay which is 7 mm Dyform wire. My new setup does not include a lever, so this is surplus to my needs.

Attached find photos of the device.

Again, I'm sorry to have mislead everyone.

Cheers,

Jim
