Free: Help for an older gentleman

I am trying to help my older next door neighbor actually. He has a boat in his driveway he would very much like to sell. He can't tell me all that much about it. He said it is a 1968 20' sloop. He said it was an "Aurthmer" (No idea how to spell that.) My husband and I have been online trying to learn anything about it to help him. I have the CF number if that would help. I was searching around online and came across your community. Don't know if anyone can help - but I would certainly appreciate it!

I agree that photos would help. Also, you may not be aware that this forum is global with members from Australia to Zimbabwe and everywhere in between. Point being, you should let us know what part of the world you're in. Might find a member nearby that can help out or could even be a buyer.

No rig? Decent trailer. Looks like ~$500 on craigslist to me. But I'm far from an expert.

Sorry for your neighbor, but the term 4KSB is there for a reason. There's _LOTS_ of old sailboats. There's less buyers. (I bought a 1980 C30, so I kinda was there)

If your neighbor wants to sell it, list it on craigslist. See what happens. It's not worth much (imho, and I hope I'm wrong)

Welcome aboard. Ask your friend if he knows where the sails and rig are (could be in his garage--good news--or long gone; there may also be an outboard motor.)

With CF numbers I believe she is in California but it is a big state.
