BD, Are you in Annapolis? There is no shortage of boat people and live-aboards in MD.

My advice is you listen to some of the advice you've received here. I'm getting the sense that you are tunnel-visioned and not hearing what some experienced people are telling you.

I'm sure you've heard of people making poor decisions on their first boat. Typically, they didn't listen to seasoned advice. Slow down, don't rush, and make sure you are hearing everything. It's to your benefit.

Also, MD is a tough place to live-aboard year around.

FYI, I would look seriously at the O'Day 37CC 1980 $17,900 over the boat you mentioned.
