Furuno Fax30 Navnet Weatherfax Navtex Receiver $750

Furuno Fax30 Navnet Weatherfax Navtex Receiver

Furuno's new FAX30 can turn any NavNet display or PC into a Weatherfax and Navtex receiver. This waterproof Black Box unit connects directly to a NavNet display or an Ethernet hub with a single Ethernet cable. If it is connected to an Ethernet hub that has multiple 10.4 NavNet displays attached, each of those displays will have access to the FAX30. In addition, the FAX30 has the capability of being connected to a standard PC with Ethernet card.

The unit itself receives valuable weather images and navigational information. When connected to a 10.4 NavNet display, the image and information is displayed directly on screen, with softkey menu options for ease of use. On a PC, the images and information are displayed by simply using your Web Browser. There is no complicated proprietary software to install or learn. You can even print all of the information using your PC and printer!

Combine the new FAX30 with NavNet's true color Radar and you have the ultimate in weather tracking. Now you can navigate more safely even during uncertain conditions.

Could you say where you are located? Since the price is in dollars I'm guessing the USA but narrow down to east coast or west coast, maybe even a state?

Sold as is but new? Have you ever powered it up to confirm it works? What if it arrives DOA?

Re: Furuno Fax30 Navnet Weatherfax Navtex Receiver $750

I am in Caribbean (Grenada currently).

Price is in USD, will accept equivalent in GBP, EUR, PHP, BTC

Unit is new, I have never powered it up however I can power it up on buyers request to make sure it powers up. However I have never purchased any antennas for it so beyond powering it up to check it and checking the Ethernet connection. I cant do complete check for receiving etc. Though as it is a new unit I would assume it to be fully functional.

Re: Furuno Fax30 Navnet Weatherfax Navtex Receiver $750

I have one these and like it. Gets weather fax and navtex at the same time. The antenna is the easy part. You really only need a long wire. I switch mine into my backstay antenna in place of my ham radio. Tricky part is getting it to connect to your laptop. I had to talk to an IT person as the manual is not good in that area.
