First, it's the Survivor 35 MANUAL model, not the electric
version. It's really a liferaft
, or emergency
unit. I think it will produce about 1 gallon/hour or more.
There were three PUR/Kataydn desalinators (40E electric
, survivor 35 manual, Survivor 600 manual) on the boat
when we bought it. The prior owner spent a good deal of money
on new sails
, Wells arch, bronze ports
, etc. between 2001 and 2003. These items were a part of that purchasing
spree, i believe. The boat was used winters in Trinadad, then stored. In 2003 the boat was brought back to the States and put on the hard
. The owner passed away in 2004 and we bought the boat in 2007.
The 600 is still in its plastic bag, the 40e was working when we sold
it, and I believe it's still working. I'm assuming that it's in good condition since everything else is. it looks like it wasn't abused.
Defender currently sells the 35 membrane for $338.00.
We already have a brand new Survivor 600 watermaker
so this one is redundant.
Make me an offer.
