Foldable Max prop
Very good condition, for an Engine between 40 and 54Hp (adjustable pitch). Propeller in Italy: 500 euros

If it doesn't sell for a while I might be in the market as I'm taking a serious look at repowering and my Autoprop may not be sized right, still in the early stages of due diligence. Is it right hand drive? R

Bad timing You come out of Europe...I would be glad to let you try it to see if you like it but then you will have to cross the Atlantic again
So, when you go backwards the boat goes to the left side so I guess it is right hand drive. This is not like autoprop. You can alter pitch but then it stays like that, it is no variable pitch like autoprop. You can try several set ups to see what is best for your boat.
I am selling for the same reason, I have a 36hp engine and that propeller is just too big for it even on the softer setup.
Regarding autoprop, have you talk to them? Maybe they can change the blades....very expensive though. I had an autoprop on my last boat, great for motorsailing and low consumption in flat water but not great to have power on a blow. Also some problems in what regards maintenance: I had none and used it for 6 years but the guy to whom I sold the boat had problems on the next year and had to buy a new blade (expensive).
The propeller is on the shipyard in Fumicino and the owner is a Perito Navale, a serious guy with lots of experience. If you want more information regarding the suitability of that propeller for your engine send me a PM and I send you his email. If he don't know he will know someone that will know.

I've an autoprop I've yet to put on the boat, according to them they can change RPM up to 300 to 400 RPM by changing the shape of the blades, beyond that is new blades.
I assume they grind more or less camber into the airfoil

Robert if you go up with HP, but down with the reduction ratio, you may be able to keep the same prop, worth asking anyway
Reason is you would be spinning it faster

Say Polux, not wanting to split hairs but the Max prop is feathering not folding. I have owned a couple in the past. Is yours adjustable under water?? R

Yes, feathering is the right word. Sorry about the bad English.
Yes, they say so, even if I did never tried. It is a simple job if you have a scuba.

Good question. I have to ask. The propeller was mounted on a saildrive from Lombardini but I guess is the same diameter as other similar sized saildrives shafts.
When I have the answer I will post it. It will take some days on this Christmas time. I am in Portugal, the boat in Italy.

Any Max Prop is adjustable underwater, regardless of model.

Mine is from 2007. It was what Comar installed on the Comet. They had a not correct information from Lombardini regarding the power of the engine (4hp less) that and a much bigger alternator (mounted by me) made the propeller not the best for my boat.

Actually Sir, not entirely accurate.
The early ones had to be completely diassembled to change the pitch settings, x and y, "Classic" I believe the model designator was, from late 1980's abouts. There is a write up somewhere in this forum by me, so been there, dunnit.
Furthermore, these early ones did not have the grease nipples either, they were added in early 1990s, so for greasing, the boat had to be hauled out and prop disassembled. In this respect the newer ones are so much much more user friendly.
