Was invaluable when cruising for 3 years in the
Caribbean and
Central America. Great for spotting debris in the
water, locating moorings at night, spotting squalls off in the distance, entering anchorages/harbors in the dark.
Images are incredibly clear.
Man
overboard at night? No problem! You can spot them immediately with the FLIR infra red imaging. Our little black Schipperke went
overboard once at night and without the FLIR, we would have never found a 15 pound black pup in 1-2 foot seas. With it, we were able to see him clear as daylight and easily retrieved him. Lucky for Cody that we had the FLIR!
I wouldn't go cruising without one. Great piece of
safety gear; not to mention, a fun toy...
