This system powered a
Rawson 30 for years, but just barely. Better for a
Catalina 27 or the like. I designed, built and installed over 30 of these around
SF Bay,
sold more internationally. Motors are sealed with a Gortex vent, so no seepage pressure. Controllers are potted, no
corrosion. 24 to 48v input, but use the full Monty. 24v in a Storfidra 24 didn't cut it, our
Ericson 27 works just great at 48v. Sano system, no gears or belts, just a fast coupling to the prop shaft and isolation mounts to the stringers (included). I've installed a
motor in a prepped
Hunter 30 in just four hours. Motor is 8" wide, 3" thick, 14" tall, CNC'd billet
aluminum. Controller is fan cooled, wired 30" from the motor.
We ran 12kwh of lead in the
Rawson 30, but still planned the tides. The
Ericson has 8kwh and motors into conditions with confidence. Company was Advanced
Marine Electric Propulsion.
Service life is designed for 20,000 hours, you do the math. I'll post some pics, send me questions.
