CRUISING
BOAT AND
TRAILER $52500 obo located on Lake Michigan's western shore.
1986 CS36T Canadian Sailcraft. 4'11" shoal
draft. 52'10" air
draft. Moderate design by Ray Wall of Camper/Nicholson. 11'6" beam and 15500
displacement. Specs can be had on the
internet on this well respected cruiser.
20 years under my
ownership and many upgrades including: factory new
Westerbeke w38B4
diesel engine and
Hurth 150v
transmission with captain's panel, controls,
fuel filters,
fuel lines, basically everything from the
companionway bulkhead back was replaced new in 1999 and is excellent. Now has 2100 hours. New stainless
fuel tank and fill hoses. New hot
water heater,
rudder packing, sheave bearings,
steering cables,
rudder packing,
exhaust hose,
bilge blower etc etc at that time also.
All new standing
rigging with sta-loks lower and swaged stem balls upper. Four new
sails in '99 three of which are still in like new condition including asymmetrical
spinnaker in sock, 150
genoa,
storm jib. 100%
jib looks great yet but not setting as well as it used to (has years of
service left in it). Foresails are hank on. Main needs leech covering but is still sound and has three reef points led aft. Lazy jacks. New running
rigging also in '99.
New Natty
dodger from Genco
marine in '99 along with complete custom enclosure in '12 in green tweed sunbrella. New
davits in 2005 from stainless outfitters.
Refrigeration by grunert is a 12v system. New
stainless steel force 10 three burner
propane stove and
oven. Last year I replaced the fresh
water pump (shurflo) and added an
anchor washdown
pump at the same time. This
boat carries 100 gal fresh
water and has a 40 gal
holding tank. New
raritan head in'99 rebuilt in '13.
Replaced all cabins' bulbs and
anchor light with led. 35
CQR with 35' chain, new 200'
rode in '12, 33 bruce with 35' chain, new 200'
rode in '12 and
aluminum fortress fx55 storm anchor. All new coated
lifelines in '99. New in '12 four 6volt golf cart
batteries for main bank (440 amp hours) plus new starter
battery. Smart
regulator by
balmar and 90 amp
alternator new in '13. New
Navico wp500
wheel pilot in '99 with complete backup unit.
Not a lot of
electronics but I did add
furuno radar new in '99. Set up for practical cruising and just completed the great loop and
bahamas in '13.
Last but not least the boat is on a freeway-ready 25000lb gvw four axle
trailer with brakes on all four axles. Customizing this new in '95 factory trailer cost $1500 not including the
price of the trailer. I replaced the
wood decking new last year ('13) with treated
lumber. Needs nothing and makes working on the boat at your own facility a pleasure. It continues to pay for itself in transportation and
storage costs.
Questions will be answered promptly. Coast guard documented and registered in Michigan. This boat is ready go!
