Cruisair Carry-On A/C

Cruisair Carry-On. CO-7000. Works great, cools down my triton in no time! I am located in Brunswick GA right off the ICW. Can arrange pickup anytime. I will ship but pick up would be the most cost effective. $450 obo. Willing to trade as well. (really need a chartplotter)

Triton,

how old is the unit, and is the unit still available? what are teh power requirements. i am looking for a cruisair and am not sure if a honda 2000w generator will support it.

Hi, I would like that for my parents boat.. And they live in Brunswick.. Also have 2 chartplotters, both w/ internal antennas for you to choose from... A si-Tex EZ Chart. and a Garmin 520.. both brand new in boxes.

I have one I use at the dock. it's a 4800 BTW unit, and I paid $100, which was a bargain. I would want any used unit to be certified by an AC tech.

Mine can cool all of my 31' Hunter at least somewhat IF ... I heavily tarp the boat with reflective tarps, which is pretty ugly. I'm having a good shade awning made for my boat, and I'm going to stitch a reflective tarp under it, but these units are going to have to be pretty good to really cool most boats. Mine is in the forward hatch and it cools the vee berth, where I usually sleep, very well. It knocks down the temp and humidity some in the main cabin.

Someone made a hatch cover for me out of starboard that fits around the unit and seals the hatch well, and I recommend that anyone with a hatch AC do that. It made a huge difference.

Also you have to clear the drain every two - three weeks or it will drip into your cabin.

Yes the ac is still available. I'm really not sure what year it is. I bought it off of a west marine salesman. I assure you it works well though. I'm interested in the garmin. Do you have any charts? Anyone interested DM me your phone number and we will talk. Thanks

Actually, a cover cut from a single 24" foam floor tile makes a very good gasket, and takes only a few minutes with a knife to custom-cut what you need.

Re: Cruisair Carry-On A/C

I have a 28ft boat and i am about to install a permanent air conditioner. I have a used 7000 btu cruisair carry on. It has the canvas hood and works great. It's 2 1/2 seasons old and I used it about seven or eight times. My wife bought it for me.... carrying it back and forth to the boat is not for me. I'm on Staten Island, NY. $900.00
