Crowther Buccaneer Trimaran 32K OBO

32K OBO

New: March/13 2 bow nets - best place to lounge - photos soon
New: March/13 2 x Lewmar 40 self-tailing winches (brand new, chrome)
New: April/13 AGM 105A battery
New: May/13 Mainsail from Pineapple Sails (being built now)

Crowther 35 foot Buccaneer. With 6'3" standing headroom and places to sleep, this is more boat than an F-27 or Corsair 31 for much, much less - and a heck of a lot dryer. An F-31 will get you there faster, but this boat can still hit 12 knots without problem and has been north of 18 knots many times on the Bay, faster still outside the Bay where she can stretch her legs. Wood and epoxy, professionally built in 1987. I have the original blueprints and a very large binder of which the previous owners' added all of their upgrades over the years - I am the third sailor for this boat.

Three coats applied to the bottom in August 2012, along with a fresh coat on the topsides and deck.
New lower shrouds of Dynex Dux in 2011.
Yearly outboard engine service, Tohatus 9.8 - April 13.
Very simple boat to keep and maintain - no fridge; no holding tank (porta-pottie); small electrical panel - all designed to be easy to fix and keep the costs low. Of course, there is room for whatever gadgetry you want to install - a sister boat here in SF Bay sailed to the Caribbean and back, and we've been down to the Channel Islands. Good ocean race boat - under me she's won the SSS Half-Moon Bay Race, IYC Lightship Race and Elkhorn YC Half-Moon Bay to Moss Landing race - and many 2nd, 3rd places.
