Re: Corbin 39

That is correct...I probably should have said dry storage...as opposed to marina, so to not confuse...no wet slips....many people in my area use this facility because they will let you live on the boat while you repair...which you can read from the link i posted. They have the best rates, in this general area

This yard is for live aboard repair and long term storage. Charge for repair side is $20 a day, close to the average slip fees in Florida depending on which coast your on.
I shudder to think what the condition of the bottom is after sitting in the water for 30 yrs. we shall see.....:0

Re: Corbin 39

Thank you Cruisers Forum for the space and exposure. The boat was sold today. I am happy and I think the new owner is happy with the deal and I expect a good relationship with him in the future.
Thanks again Cruisers Forum, good job!

OK all, done deal....could not pass this one up! A lot of work needed, but an empty canvas below, I will be designing for months. I will post pics if anyone is interested.
The yard it is slipped at is cheap and the staff and owner very friendly and helpful. I am truly blessed to have a Corbin to sail while I build another to sail off.......
One will be sold when I am close to finishing the ketch.

Fair winds

Very interested. Sounds like an ideal marrage. Keep us posted.

To make me even more jelous what is the headroom below in her? At 6'7" that is always something I am thinking about.

I am deathly afraid of a ladder above the third rung. Can't climb ladders. The companionway ladders is about my max. To compensate for this mental block, I own three hydraulic lifts. I would have to bring one. Lol. Great for getting big projects done.

I live on a lake that has a max slip size of 32'. That is until a favorite son purchased a Hunter 33 this spring. Lol

So bringing home a 39 foot sailboat would have left me without a place to dock her, no other lakes around within several hours. It's Nebraska.

My boat is pretty much what I want, except I would love to be able to stand up in the main cabin. The winter to do list is add a pop up top. Going to cut the top off of another CM32 I am parting out, and make an electric pop up. Thought about a fiberglass doghouse, but not wanting the additional freeboard and I do not want to change the looks of the boat. I have a remote steering helm I can add below so I can go below and still sail.

Re: Corbin 39

That marina has a very very bad reputation. I would inspect the lift before i let them haul my boat. Well... actually...I wouldn't let them haul my boat. There was a major fire...explosion there several years ago..more than a dozen boats destroyed.....there were such bad reviews by sooo many people on yelp? I think its called, that Riviera closed down on that site so no one else could review it......I'm only letting you know this so you are aware and use caution....you don't want your great deal to turn into a nightmare...good luck
