Hi all, CL stands for continous line which is a
furling system that got it's start with
racing. My best explanation would be a
furler that works off a furling control line that is "continous" in that it is joined end to end and rides on a furler drum. Just like a
single line furler the sail is furled in by simply hauling in the control line.
The sail was originally made for a 40 ft.
Beneteau with a
head sail luff of 51 feet. The sail is brand new, only flown twice by the original owner. We bought the sail in December and never used it. The original owner claimed that in 7 knots of
wind he easily got 4.5 knots of
hull speed. I will post some pictures as soon as I get back to
Key West.
hope this helps.
