The Cheoy Lee Offshore
, a modified Herreshoff design, is a classic
that has made many circumnavigations. Only 150 of these boats were built by the famous Hong Kong
shipyard, this one in 1967. She was designed as a racing-cruising sloop
with emphasis on speed, comfort and utility. With a low wetted surface, long and stable lateral plane, she is fast and easy to handle with maximum rudder
control on all points of sailing. She has an easy "long-boat" motion and is quite dry in a chop. Edson wheel steering
with RVG self-steering system. New hollow spruce mast
in 1994, new Yanmar diesel
in 1992. Teak
decks have been glassed and painted.

Windfall has been little used in the past 6 years. We have too many boats in the family
and must part with her! She desperately needs tlc to bring her back up to her formerly beautiful self. With some cleaning
, she is ready to sail. Sails
are good shape. You will love this boat
, she has given our family
many happy memories.
(Note: pictures are not of this boat but of a sister ship. I don't have any of my own that I can easily upload.)
