The
Cheoy Lee Offshore 31
sloop, a modified Herreshoff design, is a
classic cruising
boat that has made many circumnavigations. Only 150 of these boats were built by the famous
Hong Kong shipyard, this one in 1967. She was designed as a racing-cruising
sloop with emphasis on speed, comfort and utility. With a low wetted surface, long and stable lateral plane, she is fast and easy to handle with maximum
rudder control on all points of sailing. She has an easy "long-boat" motion and is quite dry in a chop.
Edson wheel steering with RVG self-steering system. New hollow spruce
mast in 1994, new
Yanmar diesel in 1992.
Teak decks have been glassed and painted.

Windfall has been little used in the past 6 years. We have too many boats in the
family and must part with her! She desperately needs tlc to bring her back up to her formerly beautiful self. With some
cleaning,
paint and
varnish, she is ready to sail.
Sails and
hull are good shape. You will love this
boat, she has given our
family many happy memories.
(Note: pictures are not of this boat but of a sister ship. I don't have any of my own that I can easily upload.)
