Cal39 MKII in Miami $21K OBO

I am selling my 1979 CAL39 MKII with 5'6" draft, encapsulated fin keel, semibalance rudder.
This boat is in good shape, this is not a project boat. I am having problem uploading pictures in this site, but you can look it up in the Miami craiglist where I have over 20 pictures.

The boat comes with main sail, 150 genoa, roller furler, and storm jib.

The engine is a perkins 4-108 with new injectors as of may of this year

The steering quadrant has new wires and chain

All hand rails are new, the teak toe rail was replaced

The stanchion bases are all new

The bow pulpit is new

The two main hatches have lexan uv recently bedded, as well as new gaskets, and new dogs

The diesel tank was recently cleaned, new filters, etc

It has a gps map with chip containing all florida and bahamas charts

New vhf radio

New cd radio

Two anchors

I need the mooring for my other boat so this must go fast

I can be contacted here or via phone 561-213-9038

Cal boats were very well made. Great interior designs. Price certainly seems reasonable. They are rather sensitive to sea conditions and are rather quick to heel; but not much more so that other fin keeled boats.

Gorgeous boats. Broke my heart to see one go to the bottom in the making of "All is Lost" with Redford.... Idiot hit a floating container! If I was closer, I'd be way interested, but I'm on the Left Coast.....and have a boat...but not like a Cal 39!

Actually he purchased 3 of my sisters boat, one the one used in the closeup shots were the boat made just before mine ( CAL owners are OCDs and we keep track on every boat made and its whereabouts) . He cut two of them for filming, and sank one. All were in perfect shape but I understand he paid premium for the boats and it would have been foolish to refuse the offer.

Huh ? Quick to heel ?

Cal brought out two rigs and two keels for the 39. The tall rig/deep keel one was called the "Corinthian" and intended to be a club racer. The mast was 4ft taller and that version was a little tender. This boat has a short keel so it should have the short rig. Maybe there is an example out there somewhere of a tall rig/short keel combo but it would be very unlikely.
