Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

Bierig asymmetrical spinnaker in sock with sheets.
Rainbow colored, in great condition

Not sure about exact size. Any suggestions on how to easily measure a large sail, aboard, while on the hook?

I'm on a Gemini, and if you look at the first photo, I have a 14 beam, so. I'd guess approx. 35 - 40'.

Stern anchor, lots of scope, hoist the spinnaker and then compare to mast height. While it is up, take advantage of it to enjoy some spinnaker flying - fun stuff!

Re: Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

I'm in Key Largo, but moving up to Miami hopefully by the weekend.

Was hoping around $1000ish, based on some googling, and what I've found other ones going for. But I am flexible on the price.

Will try to finally measure it today.

Re: Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

Have you tried to use it?

Is it too big?

Do you have another?

I want one for my Gem but don't know the dimensions. I have been told that one for a Megles (sp?) is the right size. I have been told of a place in Sarasota that handles a lot of what I might want but have never been given a name.

1000 is too steep though.

Re: Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

I've never used it...and considering there's not even any blocks for it, I'm guessing the previous owners didn't either.

Talked to someone today, and looks like $750 - 800ish is probably more in line.

Didn't get a chance to actually measure it, thanks to wrestling with the Sillette all day, though.

Re: Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

45' from the waterline...so I'd guess about 42' from the deck. I really will try to get a real measurement in the next few. I've just been caught up in work this week.

I have no problem shipping to Australia.

Re: Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

Finally got around to measuring.
Foot is approximately 24-1/2” and both sides are 35’.

Turns out it's not an asymmetrical. Duh!

Re: Bi-Rig Asymmetrical Spinnaker

No interest here. Apparently everyone wanted an asymmetrical. So...listed on ebay.
