Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

Where might this grill be located and is the photo of the actual grill for sale or from a catalog?

Thanks
Rich

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

I used the grill once after I bought it. You can attach a propane bottle to it or in my case I actually installed a 30ft propane hose from my boat's permanent propane tank regulator including a 3-way selector valve so I can select "OFF"-"STOVE" - BBQ and not have to use a portable propane bottle.

Since then we never got around to ever really using it as we have a good permanently installed stove/oven and an electric toaster oven. Basically a case of "great idea" but never used it.

The photo is from a catalog but is correct. We are going to take some more photos today and will post those. You do need to get a couple of railing clamps to attach the bottom flange of the BBQ to your stern or bow pulpit (1" SS rail tubing). Or make a flat board of teak or plastic Starboard/Kingboard material to hold the BBQ upright. I like the plastic Starboard/Kingboard stuff as it never needs painting/varnishing/etc. Like any typical cruising sailor, ingenuity is the catch-word.

We are located in Port Canaveral, FL 32920 which is a major all-weather sea-port for commercial and cruiser traffic just adjacent to the NASA Rocket launching base. It is only 50 east of downtown Orlando and at the end of the major highway "SR528 - The BeachLine".

Any more questions - - ask away . . . . . .

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

Here are actual photo's taken today. And the BBQ already has the rail mounting brackets attached to the bottom, so getting those is not necessary.

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

And - we even found the Sunbrella Cover for the BBQ so you can keep it out of the sun and rain.

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

** Explanation or what we are listing ***
I have failed to mention enough times that ALL of the stuff we are listing is from our boat and has been collected over the years when I could sail and cruise. My terminal cancer has ended all of that so we are trying to find a good home for the stuff. Since quite a bit of it is "old" and possibly no longer available or made, we thought cruisers might be interested - especially if you had one and now would like to replace your broken one with an exact or near duplicate.

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

Jim I am really sorry to hear about your health problems. I know there is nothing I can say or do to help you. I must admit I don't feel good about buying your gear under these circumstances but I also understand why you might be doing this

Having said this, if you still have the force 10 grill for sale let me know. I'm not sure where I would put it but whatever I can do.

Ps: the ITT monocular is fantastic but again I can't tell you how guilty I feel.

Hang strong,

Rich

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

Please do not feel "guilty" about helping out. Galina and I have had a decade of the best life any two people could ever desire cruising the Caribbean in OSIRIS. We "have been there, done that, and got dozens of tee-shirts" as the saying goes. . .

Anyway, all the stuff we are putting up not only helps with the bills but more importantly the equipment, etc. is going to people who can use it and appreciate what it can do. In essence finding a good new home. And if it can help inspire those people to get going and start cruising then we are especially happy.

Those who have actually been actively cruising in their boat and sailed beyond their own shorelines know the experience makes all the prior grief and hard work worth it. So if what we have to offer helps get some more to go - or makes it easier for them to go - then we are happy and grateful for the opportunity to pass on what we have to the next cruisers.

Re: BBQ Force 10 Large

Force 10 BBQ Grill complete with Regulator, hose, and fittings for Disposable Propane Bottles and/or standard Tanks - $180.00

The Force 10 BBQ grill is still available - several people have wanted it but so far none have followed up.

We have made some modifications to the grill since it was originally set up as a permanently installed unit into our boat's Propane system. We have added a hose and regulator plus adaptors so that the BBQ can be attached to either the disposable Propane bottles or a normal propane tank (5, 10, or 20 lb). We have also added the mounts for standard 1" Stainless rail tubing. This has added $30 to the price of the BBQ - so now it is $180.00 plus postage, if necessary.
