I'm not sure what you mean by base? I have a complete new housing (all the plastic parts) for the light you describe. Is that what you need?

The 40 depending on the model mounts several differant ways.
One you remove the lense and bolt it through the base then reinstall the lense.
The one I have the mounting base is bolted down first then the entire unit just twist into the installed base and secured with a plastic ring. It is maid for a quick release. I guess if you unstep the mast you can then just twist off the light to secure it. Somehow the light was seperated from the boat. Some where there is a mast with a base but no light.

Re: base for Aqua signal 40

I have a base and entire fixture minus the colored lenses. the base uses the quicfit attachment system that you mention you need. I bought this to replace a broken lens and did not ever install the part that the bulbs fit into or the base, so this new and still in the original packaging. If interested, $50 takes it. No bulbs included.
