Barramundi 470 is a super light high tech cat designed by Erik Lerouge and built by the french managed
boat yard Barramundi in
epoxy vacuum infusion technology from a negative mould. Erik Lerouge designs compete with designs of Jeff Schoening, Gunboats or Outremers in the relatively small category of fast and light cruising cats. Despite its powerful sail area the
boat can easily be handled
single handed. The boat was finished 2011 and is CE certified. Unlike most of its competitors it was vacuum infused with
epoxy resin which makes it resistant against
osmosis and ads additional strength by less weight. Its weight is only 6,5t by 49ft length. Finest materials like corcell foam, kevlar under the waterline and epoxy has been used. Some
parts been produced of carbon.
