Want To Buy: Backstay Chainplates

I have a 1972 Islander 36', I'm looking for the aft chain-plate,strap: for the back-stay. She is s/s at 20" L x 11/2" W x3/8" thick. Has the 4 bolts holes then top hole for the turnbuckle connection.If any one know's where to purchase please contact me. Im liking too leave on 6+ month cruise here shortley. Also Im looking for davits for my boat. Second Wind.. thanku Todd G

Your best bet is to have the chain plate fabricated at a machine shop. I would be surprised if you ever found a match. As for the davits check with some of the marine salvage and used parts stores in your area.
