wind vane">Aries wind vane complete with mounting brackets, rudder, parts and owner's manuals, spare parts, spare vane, snaffle lines, and control lines. The vane has 2 new varnished plywood vanes and it was taken apart last winter, parts replaced as needed, lubricated, and reassembled. We have been using the vane for the past 8 years and it continues to steer the boat well. It is not a kick-up rudder version of the Aries. Asking $1,100.

The Aries is still for sale. I just removed it from my boat last week, and have it stored in my shop. I have attached a few photos of the vane while it was still on the boat. The lines that are tied to the windvane are the snaffle and steering control lines; they are run forward to the cockpit when the vane is setup for use.The new vanes and the rudder are not visible in the photos, since the boat is on the hard and they were already removed. I can get additional photos of these if you need them, but as I noted, the vanes are new and the rudder is in excellent shape.

I am very interested in your Aries is the a fold up model?Does the oar remain vertical?please reply ASAP I am on the hard and want install before I hit the water
