For Sale: Aries Vane Gear

I have an Aries self-steering gear I would like to sell. This model came out before the all anodized, lift-up model. To make this operational one needs the plastic bearing kit for a rebuild. Actually, it most likely doesn't need all but when I rebuilt my last one I figured it was easier to get them all rather than finding out I needed one or two additional. This is missing the slide coupling and spring and the lower fork is cracked which would require welding or just buying the new piece. Also. new mounting tubes will probably be needed, depending on the installation. The paddle is the longer model to mount on higher transoms. The blade is virtually new. This model has steered my two boats very effectively.

I would like $275 for this. Shipping would be at cost and I'm not sure how this can be best shipped since it is rather unwieldy. I am in South Carolina and driving to FL in about 9 days and could bring it with me if that helps.
