With just 373 hrs use this Aquafresh
watermaker has been fantastic. Rated at approx 60 litres per hour at 20 degrees celcius the
water produced is fantastic. This is about to be removed from our yacht at Port Solent so if you are quick you can see it running, by appointment.
The
watermaker comprises a low pressure Stuart Turner
pump (replaced 2011 as the old one got noisy), the high pressure
pump, membranes and
control box and switch panel. This model has the automatic salinity control, so it constantly monitors
salt levels and only discharges fresh
water to the tank if the quality is acceptable - much better than having to taste the water every time you run it.
The watermaker came with our
boat, which we obtained in 2011 and we have used it ever since. I do not know exactly how old it is - the
boat is 2002 and it may have been installed when new or retro-fitted afterwards.
If you are contemplating
long term cruising, or simply want to free yourself of having to fill up at the quay regularly this will revolutionise your sailing.
Note that this is a 240 volt model so will require a
generator or a very large
inverter to run.
The purchaser will have to collect or arrange collection from Hampshire, UK. Feel free to ask any questions.
