ACR EPIRB Pro
Global Pro EPIRB from ACR with battery expiry July 2018. Currently (Oct 2015) new at West Marine for $420. Asking $275 plus shipping from Canada. This device is programmed for US residents.

I got it with the recent purchase of a boat. I intend to stay within VHF territory on Great Lakes so no anticipated need. Thanks.

FYI, you can get a brand new unit right now at Defender shipped for the same price. I would do about $100 shipped given the battery life.
